We spent Christmas Day 2012 at Grand Canyon National Park. We got up early in the morning to see the sun rise over the canyon and then took the Rim Trail since we didn't have the proper snow gear to head down the trails going in to the Canyon. From the the rim you can see the Colorado River down below.
On our way back we saw a moose:
